October Round Up💚✨
October has been such a full and fun month for Hector’s House – packed with awareness events, fundraising, and incredible community support.
This month we had two fantastic awareness stands in supermarkets. On World Mental Health Day we set up an awareness stand at Waitrose in Berkhamsted. And later in the month we had a stand at Asda in Watford. It was great to chat with shoppers about mental health and connect with the community. A huge thank you to both shops for having us and everyone who stopped by for a chat or donated – your kindness really makes a difference💚
Our fab Men’s Assistant Dec hosted a Halloween gig – what a night! The bands were great and the crowd was incredible. The gig raised funds and awareness for Hector’s House, helping us continue to provide vital mental health support in our community. A massive thank you to the bands, everyone who came along, and all who donated – we’re so grateful for your energy and generosity! 🎶🖤
We also joined QCS’s Qtoberfest this month for a brilliant day filled with a barrel relay race, stein holding competition, an auction, beer pong competition and more all while fundraising for us – and they raised over £5000! Thank you so much to everyone at QCS for all your ongoing support, donations and a fun day🫶

The Funding Network connects donors to charitable causes through live fundraising events. Hector’s House was honoured & privileged to be one of three charities given an opportunity to pitch our Listening Service. We were thrilled and deeply grateful for the £3,000 pledged in support of our work.
We also loved giving a wellbeing talk to the Berkhamsted Explorer Scouts. The group was amazing – so open, curious, and thoughtful. It’s always inspiring to see young people engaging in these important conversations.
Finally, we held another awareness stand this time at UTC, meeting students and staff to chat about mental health, wellbeing and the support available through Hector’s House. Thank you to everyone who stopped by – your interest and openness mean so much.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of our journey this month – whether you visited a stand, came to a gig, or simply shared our posts💚
We can’t wait to see what November brings!
